Works and does what much more expensive heart coherence monitors do
.... I hope the next Update includes a support tool to breath in the right rythm to become coherent like a led that runns from left to right or so. Sorry for the Bad english.
This app has a lot of promise and is very interesting. If anything, cool to see online your own breath and heart beat at the same time. However, they will have to work harder to make the inner workings more transparent before it is believable and worth the effort.
This is a neat idea and seems to work well. Other heart rate variability hardware and app combinations can cost $100+, so the free price is great. Because I dont have another HRV device to compare it too Im not totally sure how accurate it is, but changing my breathing as per the instructions made me relaxed and focused.
I could not understand what I was supposed to do with this app. It gives nice wiggly lines that dont seem to mean much other than the heart rate. Pretty expensive app that I am getting nothing out of. It either does not work or needs better instructions.
Optimize it for iphone 5 and I will rate it 5 stars. Amazingly this app syncs youre breath and heart rate somehow and it really works.
5$ for an heart monitoring device, its really a bargain! A must have in stress reduction.
I found it a bit difficult to use and delivering little in terms of changes to the mood. Maybe it is not meant for people with average emotional response. Took me a while to learn how to use it at which point I have asked myself so this is it? Expected a bit more useful functionality at this price.
I have minor critique. I dont like the red ribbon advertising other Azumio apps and wish it was full screen on my iPhone 6. That said, functionality is great, works well. I enjoy using this when I dont have my emWave2 readily available.
This app worked beautifully for me, until it suddenly started freezing every time I try to use it. Now its useless, which is frustrating because it actually worked really well at helping me control my breathing and calm down. When I came to the App Store, I noticed that they dont seem to be updating it anymore, so my hopes arent high that the issues will be resolved soon.
Tried to use it for over an hour now and its all over the place. I like their other apps but I want a refund on this one!
Had the app for 5 mins and I love it!
this app is my heart explorer - I use it to see what affect my heart rhythm and there is immediate response. works nicely for slow breathing exercise too.
Because Ive had PTSD and anxiety since childhood, Im always trying things like this to supplement EMDR therapy, counseling, etc. Anyone who gives this app a bad review most likely didnt follow the instructions correctly. After 7 to 8 minutes I noticed my breathing was very calm and my brain was loving it. Burn some nag champa incense, turn on "A Winged Victory For The Sullen," get "Stress Doctor" going and focus on breaths countering the graph. Youll be happy you did.
This wasnt compatible with my iPhone G3, but this wasnt noted anywhere in the specs. $7.99 wasted. Boo!
....but at least I got my copy for free to test it..... DethB4DCaf
Ive been using a Stresseraser for years to help dial in my breathing and control stress- this is almost dead on with that device for feedback and resulting reduction in stress. I paid almost $300 for my first Stresseraser, this app gives more feedback and had a better interface!
This is an incredible app. At first, it was hard for me to finish the whole 2 minutes cycle of deep breathing. But once I caught onto how my breath influenced my heart rate, I felt addicted to slowing it down and overall reducing my stress. I use Stress Check to find out how stressed I am and then I come straight to this app and see how many points I can lower my stress. I think deep breathing and conscious breathing is a highly underrated technique. If more people could put life on hold for a simple 2 minutes and focus on their breathing, this world would be an overall happier and healthier place. Run, dont walk to get this app! It will literally, save your life!
please make it compatible with iPod touch. i dont see any reason why not to...
